Eighteen years in family law at the Family Courts in Gurgaon. Divorce, custody, maintenance, property, and protection under the Domestic Violence Act (DVA), for clients across Delhi NCR, Faridabad and Sohna, and outside India.
I came to law from teaching. I hold postgraduate degrees in English and in Education, and I read law at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak.
My father, the late Shri S.M. Ashri, practised before the Supreme Court of India for close to thirty-five years. My brother, Advocate C.S. Ashri, is an Advocate-on-Record there.
How I work
Most family cases run longer than they need to.
Litigation should not be a waiting game. Most family matters have a shortest reasonable path, and my job is to find it and take it. I tell you at the first consultation if you do not need me, and you know what a stage will cost before I start it.
